Lucknow-London direct weekly flight in a fortnight

LUCKNOW: This summer vacations, pack your bags and give wings to plans to fly directly from Lucknow to London. Lucknow airport is truly emerging as an international airport as Air India introduces a once-a-week flight connection from Lucknow to London starting within the next two weeks.
According to officials of Air India the idea is to have breakfast in Lucknow, lunch in Delhi and supper in London as the flight leaves from Lucknow at 9 am in the morning, reaches Delhi at 10 am.It then takes off for London from Delhi at 1:20 pm and touches down at 5.55 pm.
Similarly, from London, the flight''s departure timings are at 9.45 am on Friday and it reaches Lucknow the next morning at 7 am with a stop over in Delhi. Officials said that the reason that this Lucknow-London connection is just once a week is that it still is a trial run and depending on the success the frequency of trips would be increased.
Apart from connections to London, Air India has added three more destinations to the already existing flights to Jeddah and Dubai. Starting June 1, the Maharaja has added additional connections to Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Damam in Saudi Arabia.
